Bathrooms

We can help you achieve excellence in bathroom design no matter what the shape and size of your space

Jane & Michael Palmer – Dulwich, London
Dulwich walk-in bathroom
The old bathroom was suffering extensively from dry and wet rot. Joists and stud walls had to be replaced. The new bathroom installed by GreyGreen featured a Matki walk in shower, with waterproof wall panelling that has a 15 year guarantee, and a Catalano basin with a purpose made wall mounted cabinet. Porcelain wall tiles featured a diminishing sized tile as they progressed along the main wall. The switch for the wall light was a circular tile that was a proximity switch. Special Caribbean blue sprayed radiator was chosen for the ease of feeding the towel onto the radiator. The ceiling was constructed from the same waterproof wall material so that there would be no peeling paint – ever! A sloping area to the ceiling was constructed to hide the soil pipe which came from the bathroom above.

Gale - Dulwich, London
Small shower/toilet in Dulwich, London
Completely refurbished shower room built by GreyGreen included rebuilding door wall and repositioning, and strengthening, joists. Waterproof wall panels (15 year guarantee) are used on three walls in a pale grey green. No tile grout to leak and rotting the floor timbers! In addition the complete floor area was tanked creating a waterproof 'tray' and the walls around the shower area were tanked to the ceiling. No leaks to the floor below staining the ceiling. This also allowed us to create a wet room, with the floor tiles and steel shower tray on the same level. With the frameless showers doors a feeling of space was created. The ceiling is a white version of the waterproof board, ie no peeling ceiling paint above the shower! The back wall, behind the toilet, features cupboard space from floor to ceiling with gloss white doors.

Selwyn and Naomi Pokroy
Dulwich Bathroom
Complete refurbishment of a bathroom to a shower room with a walk in shower and the addition of a bidet and two wash hand basins. The old bath was removed along with a dividing wall. Lathes and plaster was removed from two walls. Being an old Victorian house the floor needed to be levelled by as much as 40mm. All walls had to be battened out to make them vertical.
The floor area was tanked out to create a waterproof 'tray' before the installation of the shower tray and tiles.
LED lighting was installed by GreyGreen throughout with LED strips used for the lights above the mirrors and for down and uplighting on the wall cupboards. Mirror de-misters were installed on both mirrors. Floor tiles were imported from Spain and matching large format tiles were water jet cut for the vanity top. Sprayed glass formed the splashback behind the wash basins.

Elizabeth Lewis - Thornton Heath, london
Blue bathroom in Thornton Heath
This was a smallish bathroom which required all the normal sanitary ware but in addition the client wanted an airing cupboard, shower/bath and a bidet. Extensive work was required on the fabric of the bathroom, ie ceiling, walls and floor, before installation made by GreyGreen could begin. Waterproof board was used on all the wet areas, and the ceiling (15 year guarantee), and complimented by tiles on two walls and the floor. The bathroom was waterproofed by tanking all the wet areas, including the floor, and up to ceiling height for the shower area. Small basin featured in cloakroom.
